The spheres of activity are diverse. It makes us sleep better and healthier, has an antibacterial effect, fights mites and moths and smells like a spring-like walk in the forest.
The effect of the stone pine has been scientifically examined and proven. The study testifies to a better sleep quality, a calmer, more relaxed sleep and the next day of more energy, performance, well-being and endurance of the test subjects.

In 2006 a study was carried out by an renowned research Institute in Austria with quite astonishing results. It was the first time any such study had been carried out about the subjective perceptions of the Alpine residents regarding the health promoting and healing effects of the stone pine.

With the help of the latest sensor technology 30 adults were tested on the effects of the stone pine in relation to stress and recovery rates.

The scientists focused on measuring stress and recovery phases in daily routines. Both male and female participants were given a series of normal everyday tasks to perform in a stone pine wood room and in a wood d├ęcor room.

The scientists were surprised to detect some remarkable changes, especially in relation to heart rates and quality of recovery.

The following detailed benefits were noted following the exposure of the participants to physical and mental stress during the study

  • Lower heart rates.
  • Faster recovery times.
  • Improved regeneration processes.
  • Sleep quality is noticeably improved in a stone pine wooden bed compared to other types of wooden bed.
  • More relaxed sleep can lead to a significantly reduced heart rate. The study participants who were in a stone pine wood room saved, on average, 3,500 heart beats per day, which approximates to about one hours work for the heart saved in one day.
  • The participants who used a stone pine bed were better rested, had more energy and an increased sense of well being.
  • The scientists also discovered during fifteen months of observation that Stone pine wood is the best prevention against moth infestations. The additional use of stone pine oil intensifies this effect even more.
