The snow pack is so stable and the conditions are so good at the moment that we took our chance on some of the most spectacular runs of the area, in St Luc. The Great couloir on the north face of the Illhorn and an unforgettable line down the east face. It has been years we were dreaming about it and we did it, right down to the Rhône valley, heehahhh

Shall we go or not |

We had a great day in Ovronnaz. It has been a long time since the last snow fall but we still managed to find some good powder, great runs on the Pointe de Chemo

I have not been very good at keeping the news updated, sorry... Beautiful trips during 2007, but no time to post pictures and comments. |

Another beautiful day in the Santesch area. A week later, the conditions have changed radically : we have been performing in corn snow, looking like the end of April. Climbed the Sublage in a loop, up the northern side before a great run along the south-west side.

Starting to plan a new trip for march, in a new area, the French Pyrénées. This is always exciting, looking for maps, acomodation, and logistic.
This will probably be a classic in our ski touring program next year, the potential looks great.

Climbing into paradise, the Forcla Valley, in the Santesch area. No one has been there, no tracks and fresh powder. Philippe and Denis are working hard breaking trail. |

Yeees, it was worth climbing.
Denise at her best

Skiing out the Forcla Valley into the Netage.
In the back the South face of the Serac. In summer it offers a couple of hard routes in perfect limestone.
No one around, just the way we like it....

Back to the Alps, but something is missing... what happened to the snow. Old people in town talk about winter 1956, being as dry as this one. Temperatures are way above normal too, we had 6° celsius at 2000 meters today. Hopefully winter will start soon

| We have just returned from an exciting trip to South Africa. Surfing, paragliding and rock climbing in a delightful cocktail for a well deserved break. |
