|
| Day 1 |
Meeting in our hotel in Chamonix. Equipment check and team meeting in the afternoon. |
| Day 2 |
The trip starts by a drive to the Italian side of the mountain. From Courmayeur into the Italian Val Ferret, iIn Plapaincieux we will start our hike to the rifuggio Boccalatte (9200 ft). |
| Day 3 |
An impressive climb along the southern side of the Grandes Jorasses and a lot of emotion reaching this mythic summit at 13800 ft. Some sections of rock in grade V, snow and steep ice up to 45° makes it a great challenging climb in high altitude. Back to Boccalatte and the valley. Night in Courmayeur. |
| Day 4 |
An easy day taking us by cable car to the Col de Torino and by a short hike to the Bivouac de la Fourche (12000 ft). |
Day 5
|
One of the most spectacular climb in the Mont Blanc Massif, the Kufner ridge on Mont Blanc du Tacul. A great adventure along an expose ridge, with snow section up to 55°. After the summit we will descend to the refuge des Cosmiques. |
| Day 6 |
Back to Courmayeur via Torino and a well deserved rest day in Courmayeur contemplating our final destination: the Mont Blanc. |
| Day 7 |
The staring point for our final attempt on Mont Blanc is the rifuggio Quintino Sella. Located in a very remote area, this small hut is rarely visited. A difficult route finding exercise on a heavily crevassed glacier will be our mission for the day. |
| Day 8 |
Climb of Mont Blanc by the Tournette Spur, an interesting and direct line along the southern side of the mountain. Beautiful mixed climb in high altitude. We will return to the valley by the normale route over the Dôme du Goûter to les Houches. |
